Scene editing:
LUMION uses a full 3D interface that has been integrated in the 3D scene. Users can edit 3D
scenes by placing and sizing objects, edit materials and water, create terrain and adjusting
weather and sunlight. No relevant knowledge about 3D rendering pipelines or graphical technology
is needed.
Content:
LUMION offers importers for Autodesk products, OBJ and COLLADA, and a Revit plug-in exporter
to Collada. Built-in automatic tools for optimization of 3D content will make imported 3D content
suitable for real-time rendering if necessary. Moreover, LUMION contains a huge (animated)
content library including people, animals, cars, trees, plants, environmental objects and roads for
making-up a 3D scene.
Movies:
LUMION contains a video composer for creating MP4 movies from the 3D scene. Users can set
out the camera path easily, add cut-scene and video effects and integrate existing movies.
Rendering high-quality, high-resolution MP4 movies will take a fraction of the time normal 3D
authoring packages need these days.
Images:
Users can also take photos of the scene and save them as an image. LUMION supports saving of
print resolution images.
Theatre mode:
For live presentations, LUMION contains a theatre mode. Users can show their work by
interactively flying through the 3D scene.
